Rates moving up

Mortgage rates shot higher this week as supply concerns in the bond market and signs of improved economic conditions pushed yields sharply higher in the past few weeks. 30-year fixed rate mortgages averaged 5.29% this week compared to 4.91% last week according to Freddie Mac's mortgage market survey.
